Whilst the antecedents of the accounting practice of Leenane Templeton go back to the 1950s, the practice was originally established by Andrew Frith and Chris Laffey in 2000. They differed from the “normal” accounting practices by offering a more holistic advisory service rather than just producing accounts. With their combined years of experience they decided to establish a client centric business advisory firm that maximised the use of technology to ensure prompt, appropriate solutions for their clients. They wanted a family friendly organisation that recognised and valued the needs of staff and where there was constant interaction with clients and staff. Chris Laffey stepped back from the business in 2015 to follow other interests whilst Andrew Frith and the executive management team forge the way forward.
Our Team Values
We demand personal levels of integrity, discretion, dedication and persistence. These values encourage the creation of a close team of professionals who enjoy working together and with our clients.
What’s in a name?
History plays a part in Leenane Templeton. Contrary to some beliefs, there were no original partners with the names of Leenane or Templeton. Leenane is the name of a County in a picturesque part of Ireland. The nexus with Leenane Templeton is that in the 1800s forbears of former partner Chris Laffey ventured from Ireland to Australia.
Templeton is the name of a prominent Novocastrian family who were active in establishing financial savings programmes in the Newcastle region in the early 20th Century. These were the forebears of Andrew Frith, the CEO of Leenane Templeton.
