With the challenges that have been faced during COVID-19, we have given a $3,000 donation to a Newcastle not-for-profit charity organisation called “Survivors R Us Incorporated“. This registered charity primarily focuses on the homeless and on helping domestic violence survivors.
Since opening on 30th March 2017, SRU helped 12,500 people from the community. Prior to COVID-19, they were helping approximately 150 local people per week and since COVID-19, this number has increased to 500 people per week.
